The Swedish Institute offers many scholarship programs to encourage the learning process, which inturn is also beneficial for meetings, education and cultural familiarity.

SL scholarships
SI offers scholarships for international students, researchers and professionals

     The Swedish Institute Study Scholarships: Its masters level scholarship for highly qualified students different countries in the world, based on selection.

     SI Scholarships for East Europe Its masters level scholarship for student from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo and Serbia.

 Swedish-Turkish Programme: its masters or higher level scholarships for Turkish student in Sweden in social sciences and law, such as International and European Relations, European Affairs, European Law, or Human Rights Law.

        The Bicentennial Swedish-American Exchange Fund: designed for professionals from US allowance for visits in Sweden for two to four weeks.

        The Visby Programme Its scholarship program for master students, PhD students, post-docs and senior scientists from Sweden, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine for academic and expert mobility within the Baltic Sea Region and primarily.


          Bilateral exchange programmes: its scholarship program for  research, university studies, or training for citizen of China, Italy, and Japan.

     The North2north student exchange program: its scholarships for Russian students contributing in the University of the Arctic cooperation.

All students are expected to have sufficient funding in place for the duration of their course, prior to starting the course. If however you encounter unforeseen financial difficulties, you should first consult your college graduate tutor, as soon as possible. They will be able to discuss your financial situation with you and provide advice about what kind of funding you may be eligible to apply for. In genuine cases of unforeseeable hardship they will evaluate the magnitude and merit of the problem and may seek help from other funding bodies on your behalf.

Unemployment, with a current rate (15.4%), affects thousands of Portuguese and is regarded as one of the major factors of social exclusion. The economic crisis that currently crosses eventually be reflected in the decrease of jobs.
